Finding Out Sally, by Doug McKenna

Sally left her clothes on as she walked down through the hallway
Steaming from the afternoon rain
Following the sound of his breathing memory
She’s looking for a place where she can pray

But how it feels like summer
Time and time it spins and falls away
But how it feels like summer…

She’s turning off the TV, she’s trying to make her days seem
A little less redundant for a while
She’s flipping through a daydream, images and fantasy
Years like rain against the windowpane

But how it feels like summer
Time and time it spins and falls away
But how it feels like summer…

Time it was and there was time
Do we leave it all behind?
Till we leave it all behind.
Time is was and there was time
Will we leave it all behind?

“I will leave it up to you
If you tell me what to do,”
She speaks aloud
Tired of being alone
She is screaming at the walls
But noone hears her calls
‘cause he’s been gone for years

Sally leaves the stove on and she’s breathing deeply
She finally found a place where she can pray
