Walking On, by Doug McKenna

It’s about vision
And right now I’m seeing you pack your bags
And walk out the door
And I can’t say I love you right now
Right now, or ever before

And I’m counting the days
Of the times that I’ve wasted
Won’t be wasting my breath anymore
‘cause I’ve taken my risks
And now the bases are loaded
Watch out while I even the score

Time’s getting tough but I’m getting stronger
Believe what I feel: that I’m not alone
So I share in the truth that this road’s getting longer
But I will keep walking on

It’s about movement
And right now I’m standing so still I feel
This bird flap its wings
I’m too late for the answers
Too early for wisdom
Too young for the courage
To wear your ring

It’s about feeling
So don’t become numb to the pain in your heart
Just rest for a while
Sit with a friend, these times must be taken
Before we get taken by time
